Huffman, AOC, Morrison push for Build Back Better

October 11, 2021

Novato, California

Kevin Morrison, the progressive Democrat and climate leader running to be Marin’s District 5 Supervisor, met with Marin’s Rep. Jared Huffman (CA-02) to discuss next steps for President Biden’s signature “Build Back Better” program.

“Together, we will bring green jobs and climate justice to Marin County,” Morrison said.

Morrison, key leaders from Climate Reality Bay Area, and Novato residents met with Huffman via Zoom on October 4. “These are champions of our brightest future,” Morrison added. “Fierce support from our Marin grassroots will make the difference.”

On Friday October 15, Rep. Huffman and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), both members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, will hold a virtual town hall immediately after Morrison’s virtual town hall with his Marin campaign network.  This event will examine actionable, practical, and legislative actions essential to reversing the impacts of the Climate Emergency.

“We are building a movement, composed of committed change-makers devoted to taking courageous and dramatic action to address the Climate Crisis,” said Edward Quevedo, Director of Regenerative Design and Global Head of Practice for The Foresight Lab. A graduate of Marin Catholic High School (1974), Quevedo and his organization, The Foresight Lab, serves as Senior Culture Transformation and Foresight Advisor for Morrison’s campaign. “Marin County will be an environmental and justice leader once again,” Quevedo added, “with Jared Huffman and Kevin Morrison leading the charge.”

Morrison’s October 15 event will be private, said senior campaign consultant and campaign manager Andre Charles. “His virtual campaign launch on October 17 will welcome everyone,” he added. To register for the virtual campaign launch, use this link:
